Kwethluk is a city in Bethel Census Area in the U.S. state of Alaska. At the 2000 census the population was 713.
Kwethluk is located at 60°48?8?N 161°25?7?W / 60.80222°N 161.41861°W / 60.80222; -161.41861 (60.802332, -161.418556). It lies at the confluence of the Kuskokwim and Kwethluk rivers in the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta. The constantly-changing channel gives the village its name: Kwethluk is derived from the Yupik "Kwikli", meaning "river" .
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 11.7 square miles (30.4 km²), of which, 10.0 square miles (25.9 km²) of it is land and 1.7 square miles (4.5 km²) of it (14.76%) is water.
