The Inter-Island Ferry Authority, also known as IFA, offers a range of transportation solutions for island communities in southeastern Alaska. It is an Alaskan port authority that has been in operation since 1997. The authority is a public corporation organized under the Alaska's Municipal Port Authority Act. Its development plan includes Hollis to Ketchikan and Coffman Cove to Wrangell to Petersburg passenger and vehicle ferry routes and is supported by the Alaska Department of Transportation. The Inter-Island Ferry Authority maintains passenger vessels that include the M/V Prince of Wales and the M/V Stikine. The authority offers online ticket reservation services.
