Heritage Place, a part of Central Peninsula Hospital, is a 55-plus-bed facility that provides health care services for senior citizens and individuals with disabilities. Founded in 1986, it offers resident-centered care and therapeutic recreational services. The center also provides barber services and intergenerational programs. Heritage Place offers food services and short- and long-term rehabilitation therapies. In addition, the center provides discharge planning and medication management services. The center offers care services for patents with dementia through its Sitka Rose community. Heritage Place is certified by the state of Alaska and a member of the National Planetree Alliance. Central Peninsula Hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission. The parent organization also operates the Family Birth Center and the Kenai Health Center.
