Established in 1975, Nine Star Enterprises is a private, nonprofit organization providing various social welfare and community services, such as work force development. It provides various programs, including literacy, job readiness and professional development. It offers a wide range of educational and training programs and various organizational development and technical services throughout Alaska. It also offers adult education classes, computer instruction and work-readiness workshops. The company works in coordination with Americorps and VISTA.
