Catholic Social Services is one of the leading social services agencies in the state of Alaska. Established in 1966, it is a nonprofit corporation that serves the poor, low-income group individuals and families, as well as offers advisory services. The corporation operates multifaceted programs and services and maintains various emergency shelters, homes for teens and a food pantry. Catholic Social Services offers transitional housing; an adoption and pregnancy support program; services for children with disabilities; and a refugee resettlement and immigration program. In addition, it maintains McAuley Manor for girls and Charlie Elder House for boys. It is located in Anchorage, Alaska.
