History
Originally opened in the summer of 1986 by sisters Gretchen and Ingrid, the Bun has been in operation seasonally every May-September since in the same small trailer with the same oven and recipes. In 2014 the Bun opened under it's fourth owner, Wendy who can still be found almost every morning in the summer at the trailer highly caffeinated and baking away. The Bun is known for its quirky parking lot vibe and its ability to produce high quality treats (especially cinnamon buns!) out of a very small and unassuming space.
Specialties
A Fairbanks original food truck open May-September. Every summer locals look forward to their first cinnamon bun of the season, don't miss out and come before 10am to make sure you get one! Lunch starts at 10:30am with sandwiches made on fresh baked bread buns except on Saturdays when there are fresh baked veggie or ham calzones instead.
