Established in 1950 as an ice and cold storage facility, Alaska Pacific Seafoods is a plant that is located in Kodiak Island in the Gulf of Alaska. It offers processing services for several seafood species, such as salmon, pollock, rockfish, blackcod, halibut, crab, octopus, herring, flatfish and sea cucumber. The plant maintains a staff of more than 200 employees. Alaska Pacific Seafoods is operated by North Pacific Seafoods, which maintains various production facilities in Alaska. The parent company provides a selection of seafood products. It also offers harvesting, processing and transportation services. North Pacific Seafoods serves the domestic and international markets.
