Wind Creek State Park operates under Albama State Parks managed by Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. The park spans 1,445 acres along the shores of Lake Martin, which is a 41,000-acre clear-water reservoir that offers fishing, swimming and boating. The park facilities include one of the largest state operated campground in the United States with 626 sites, many of which are waterfront sites allowing campers to fish, swim and boat. Wind Creek State Park s other facilities include a marina, camp store, fishing pier, hiking trails, playground and picnic areas with tables, grills and shelters. The park also offers camping cabins to its customers. It organizes various events and programs. Wind Creek State Park s provides Sea-Doos, motorized Jon boats and pontoon boats available for rent. The park is located in Alexander City, Ala.
