Retail Technologies, Inc - About Providing retailers a professional method of creating timely POP signage and bar-coded shelf labels was the idea behind the founding of Retail Technologies, Inc, in May of 1987. Now, thousands of customers later, that is still our sole mission. We have customers in all fifty states and more than a dozen foreign countries. Shelf-Minder was the first product released by Retail Technologies, Inc ( RTI ) in 1987, this MS-DOS based product supported dot-matrix printers. 1989 saw the first release of DESIGN-R-LABELS for DOS. Among the many industry firsts for a sign and label printing program, this application had WYSIWYG ( What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get ) design program, support for color dot-matrix and laser printers. February of 1999 saw the release of DESIGN-R-LABELS for Windows. This program was the retail industry's first sign and label program written from the ground up to take advantage of Microsoft's 32-bit Windows operating systems. To take advantage of the opportunities presented by the growth of the Internet, RTI rewrote the program to release DESIGN-R-LABELS 3.0. This new version supports both thick and thin client functionality over a network and the Internet. A.Net version is available for Web based printing. Moving into the future, RTI is constantly researching new technologies to determine how they might impact sign and label printing for the retail industry and to take advantage of the most promising opportunities for our customers.
