Charles E. Miller founded Miller Wire Works on April 1, 1949. Originally employing three men, it now operates with 100 skilled workers. The company offers building products including partitions, guards, folding gates, railing panels and woven wire mesh. Its aggregate and mining products consist of wire, urethane and rubber screens as well as perforated plates, belt scrapers, conveyor slider beds, conveyor idlers, custom molding, Gator machinery, asphalt plant wear parts, front-end loader wear parts, paving equipment wear parts, side rails, bucker strip and tie-down bars. Its facilities include offices, two manufacturing plants and a machine shop consisting of 78,000 square feet. Miller Wire Works is headquartered in Birmingham, Ala.
