Achievement Center of Easter Seal, established in 1961, is a community rehabilitation facility, providing vocational development and extended employment programs to physically, mentally and developmentally disabled individuals. The center is owned and operated by the Lee County chapter of the Alabama Easter Seal Society of the Alabama Society for Crippled Children and Adults. It has partnerships with education institutions, such as Auburn University and Troy State University, as well as the Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services, Alabama Department of Human Resources and Veterans Administration. The center offers a variety of employment development services to its consumers, including adult education, employment development, foodservice, industrial-based training, job coaching, job readiness, on-the-job evaluation and training, remunerative employment, and transportation. Achievement Center of Easter Seal is located in Opelika, Ala.
