East Coast Migrant Head Start Project (ECMHSP) began operations in 1974 to provide Head Start services to children of migrant farm workers on the east coast of the United States. Located in Raleigh, N.C., it provides education services to children of ages from birth to five years. The center serves the needs of more than 4996 migrant infants, toddlers and preschoolers in 92 centers in 11 states of the United States. East Coast Migrant Head Start Project caters its clients in Florida, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Virginia by 12 delegate agencies and the ECMHSP Alabama, Florida and North Carolina Direct Service Operations.
