History
The Carlisle brothers opened Carlile's Brothers Restaurant in 1945. The original barbeque pit is still in operation today and is visible to all customers as you enter the front door. The famous Anchor Lounge; which served up the best food and drinks until the last cards were played, opened in the back dining room of the restaurant in 1968. The lounge remained open until 1974 when the restaurant sold to the Evans family. In 2007, the Collat family purchased Carlile's and today the restaurant provides delicious BBQ in 3 separate dining areas and has retained all the original family recipes.
