About Auburn Dermatology Dr. Rona Beth Holmes earned her undergraduate degree at Duke University. She received her Doctorate of Medicine from Louisiana State University Medical Center in in ShreveportLA, where she was a member of the Medical Honor Society, Alpha Omega Alpha. She completed both her Internal Medicine Internship and Dermatology Residency at The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is also a member of the Alabama Dermatological Society, National Psoriasis Foundation, and on the medical staff at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL. She founded Auburn Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center in 2004. The office serves patients of all ages with any type of skin problems. Dr. Holmes has special interests in pediatric dermatology, aesthetic dermatology, treatment of hyperhidrosis (increased sweating), treatment of acne and psoriasis, and prevention, as well as early diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers. Dr. Holmes also employs a Physician Assistant, Kelli Knox. Kelli graduated from Samford University in Birmingham, AL. She then earned a Bachelor of Science degree in physician assistant studies at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is licensed by the Alabama State Medical Board, has national certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, and is approved by the state of Alabama to dispense prescription medications. She is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Alabama Society of Physician Assistants, the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants Patty is a graduate of Auburn University and has had over 20 years of experience in medical office management. Julie has over 15 years of experience in dermatology. She assists Dr. Holmes with all aspects of patient care and has completed specialized training in phototherapy.
