After-School All-Stars Atlanta is a local chapter of the national organization that has been serving the community since 1994. With a focus on addressing food insecurity and other environmental challenges faced by students, ASAS Atlanta provides afterschool programs to approximately 2,000 students across 16 sites, helping them build agility and endurance through activities like fencing. Led by Lyndsy Greene, the Executive Director with 18 years of experience, the organization is committed to making a difference in the lives of students in Atlanta.
Through partnerships with foundations and government entities, ASAS Atlanta is able to fund its programs, with 88% of the revenue going towards program expenses. The organization also benefits from the mentorship of Reshanda Gray, an alumna of the ASAS Los Angeles program and current WNBA player for the Atlanta Dream. With a dedicated team and a strong focus on community needs, ASAS Atlanta continues to provide valuable afterschool programming to students in the Atlanta area.
