In the spirit of respect and reconciliation, the Swift Current Museum would like to acknowledge that we are on Treaty 4 territory, the ancestral land of the Cree, Anishinabek, Dakota, Nakota, and Lakota Nations and the homelands of the Métis people. Located just off the Trans-Canada Highway in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Canada, the Swift Current Museum is operated by the City of Swift Current. Since at least 1934, the Museum has collected artefacts and produced exhibitions and programming to preserve and promote the history of Swift Current and the surrounding region. The Museum shares a building with the Swift Current Tourism Visitor Centre and is open year-round. The Museum houses a permanent gallery, temporary gallery for changing exhibits, hosts many public programs, education programs and special events, Visitors can search the extensive archives and records upon request for research purposes, as well as visit the Fraser Tims Gift Shop.
