CBT allows clients to recognize their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours to help them learn to identify, challenge, and change negative thought patterns that are holding them back.
CBT has been widely studied and proven to be the top treatment for many issues, including trauma. CBT operates on the premise that thoughts cause our feelings and behaviours. This approach is unique because it allows clients to work with their therapist to develop a tool box that they can carry with them for the rest of their lives.
Because CBT often works well with other therapeutic frameworks such as Solution-Based Therapy (SBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Psychodynamic, and Existentialism, we may combine approaches to tailor the therapeutic experience for you.
