Cheektowaga Department of Parks, Recreation & Youth Services offers various programs for youth and adults. It provides individual and family counseling for youth who have come in contact with the juvenile or criminal justice system, mentoring services in affiliation with the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of America and employment opportunities for youth and adults on a seasonal or part-time basis. The department also provides with a learn-while-you-earn employment program called the Cheektowaga Conservation Corps. The department, in partnership with the Cheektowaga Library System, provides funding for programs for children aimed to encourage reading and utilization of the public library.
