Counselling is a collaborative process focused on helping people to improve their mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical health. Techniques used in counselling can vary but often involve exploring historical issues, thought patterns, beliefs, and behaviors, addressing and responding to specific problems. And providing a safe and supportive environment to process difficult emotions or life events.
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC - #18450) with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). I completed my Master of Arts (MA) in Family Life Education from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California.
Since 2005 I have had the privilege of doing pastoral counselling for youth and college students and clinical counselling with individuals of multi-ethnic backgrounds and ages. I started working with high risk youth more than seven ears ago and I have been able to connect and support with this population group and their families.
