Nestled in Hickory's historic Claremont neighborhood, McComb Park's combination of sunny open spaces and shaded benches make it a nice choice for a picnic or a relaxing escape. Within the park, the Beaver Memorial Garden includes a water fountain, a gazebo and well-maintained flowerbeds to create a space for quiet contemplation.

Insider tip for visitors to McComb Park
An evening visit during warm weather months opens the door for catching fireflies in the grassy playspaces. Be on the lookout for wildlife - a small stream splitting the park is filled with crawdads and other water life. This makes it appealing to raccoons and other animals, especially in the late afternoon and early evening hours.
